Which lymphatic facial should I book?
Which lymphatic facial should I book? Choose by time and goal: Silk Express 30 min, Drift & Drain 60, Silk & Soul 75, Brazilian Lymphatic Drift 90.
By The Renu lymphatic and massage team · 5 min read
Book by the time you have and what you want to change. The Silk Express (30 minutes, $80) is a quick de-puff; the Drift & Drain (60 minutes, $160) is the one for puffiness and contour, with a full upper-body lymphatic sequence and cryo gua sha; the Silk & Soul (75 minutes, $180) is the most skin-focused and restful, with extractions and a lower-leg massage; the Brazilian Lymphatic Drift (90 minutes, $245) adds full-body Brazilian drainage and vacuum RF. If your skin is healing from something, wait first.
The four facials side by side
All four are given by Aisha Mendes, our licensed esthetician and lymphatic facialist (CIDESCO Diploma), in the BodyTox studio inside the clinic. Each begins with a short skin consultation. The difference is how the time is spent.
| Facial | Time and price | Where the time goes | Choose it when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Silk Express | 30 min, $80 | Lymphatic stimulation of the face and neck with skincare fundamentals | You want a quick de-puff on a busy day |
| Drift & Drain | 60 min, $160 | Full upper-body lymphatic sequence, then a mini facial with sculpting massage and cryo gua sha | Puffiness and contour are the main goals |
| Silk & Soul | 75 min, $180 | Back massage, cleansing, exfoliation, gentle extractions, face, scalp, neck and décolleté massage, mask with a lower-leg and foot massage | Your skin needs care and you want to switch off |
| Brazilian Lymphatic Drift | 90 min, $245 | Full-body Brazilian lymphatic drainage, then upper-body drainage and the Drift & Drain facial, with vacuum RF | You want body and face in one visit |
If you would rather answer questions than read a table, the skin quiz asks five and suggests one facial and one add-on.
Start with your goal
A good choice usually comes from one honest sentence about what you want to change.
“I wake up puffy and want my face to look less swollen.” The Drift & Drain spends the most time on drainage, starting at the neck and collarbones before working up the face, and finishes with a chilled cryo gua sha tool swept along the face. Read more on what cryo gua sha does.
“My skin looks dull and congested.” The Silk & Soul is the one that cleanses, exfoliates and does gentle extractions, and it gives a mask time to work. Extractions can leave a little redness for a day, so it is not the first pick for the morning of an event.
“I just want to feel better.” The Silk & Soul again, for the back massage at the start and the lower-leg and foot massage while the mask sets. Clients who come mainly to rest usually stay with it.
“I have half an hour.” The Silk Express. It is not a lesser facial, simply a focused one.
“My body feels as puffy as my face.” The Brazilian Lymphatic Drift opens with full-body Brazilian drainage, then flows into the Drift & Drain. It is the only facial that includes vacuum RF therapy.
What the evidence supports, briefly
Choose for the experience and the short-term change, not for a permanent one. Facial lymphatic work moves fluid, so the de-puffed look is strongest that day and gradually returns. A small 2018 trial found that five minutes of facial roller massage raised skin blood flow in the treated cheek for at least ten minutes, and five weeks of daily rolling improved the skin’s vessel response to heat. That fits the flushed, awake look many people notice after a facial; it is not a lasting structural change.
The add-ons, and when one is worth it
Each facial can take one of four add-ons, chosen with Aisha on the day:
- Serene Lactic Acid Peel for dull, rough or uneven texture. It is a mild exfoliating acid; see what the lactic acid peel add-on does before you choose it, and skip it close to an event or if your skin is irritated.
- Eminence Paprika Herbal Treatment; ask Aisha whether it suits your skin type.
- Infrared cocoon pod session, 20 minutes, $25, for whole-body warmth after a shorter facial.
- Om aftercare kit, to carry the routine home.
An add-on is optional. Many people come once without one, see how their skin responds, and add something on a later visit.
When to wait before booking any of them
Some skin is not ready for a facial yet, whichever one you pick. Postpone or tell us when you book if:
- You feel a cold sore coming. The NHS says cold sores are contagious from the first tingle until they have completely healed, usually within about 10 days. See getting a facial with a cold sore.
- You had microneedling recently. Cleveland Clinic says microneedled skin may be red and swollen for up to five days. See lymphatic facials after microneedling.
- You had a chemical peel. The American Academy of Dermatology says even a light peel takes one to seven days to heal, and medium peels 7 to 14.
- You started or increased a retinoid. See stopping retinol before a facial.
- You had Botox or filler. See timing a facial after injectables.
When facial swelling is a doctor’s question
A facial is for ordinary puffiness, not for swelling with a cause that needs treatment. Cleveland Clinic advises calling a doctor for sudden facial swelling, severe pain, or swelling with itching, shortness of breath or signs of infection, and going to emergency care if your throat feels like it is closing or breathing is difficult. Swelling around a sore tooth or a hot, red patch of skin also needs a medical look first.
Booking
Book under BodyTox Lymphatic Facial in Jane from the lymphatic facials page. If you are still unsure, choose the Drift & Drain: it sits in the middle for time and price, and it shows you what lymphatic work feels like on the face. If you have only ever had a regular facial, lymphatic facial vs regular facial explains what changes.
Questions people ask
Which facial is best for a puffy face in the morning?
The Drift & Drain, because it spends the most time on the upper-body lymphatic sequence and finishes with cooling cryo gua sha. Cleveland Clinic notes that mild puffiness on waking that settles within a few hours is usually normal, so if yours lingers or is new and unexplained, see your doctor first.
Which one is best before a wedding or a photo day?
Most people pick the Drift & Drain or the Silk Express for a de-puffed look close to the day, and avoid extractions or a peel in the final week in case of redness. Our wedding timing page has the full countdown.
Can I combine a facial with the infrared pod?
Yes. A 20-minute infrared cocoon session can be added to any facial for $25. If you are adding a peel, ask Aisha whether heat straight afterwards suits your skin that day.
Is the Silk Express just a shorter Silk & Soul?
In spirit, yes: it is the Silk & Soul distilled into lymphatic stimulation of the face and neck with skincare fundamentals. It leaves out the back massage, extractions, mask time and lower-leg massage, which is what the extra 45 minutes buys.
