The two BodyTox prices
BodyTox by Renu is the lymphatic body studio inside our West Hillhurst clinic. Brazilian lymphatic drainage there is offered as two treatments:

Your first Full BodyTox also comes with a complimentary gift. With the TummyTox, the cocoon is not included, but you can add a 20-minute infrared and red light session in the pod for $25.
Worked out by the minute, the Full BodyTox is $3.50 and the TummyTox about $5.00. The longer session is the better value if you want the whole body treated; the TummyTox is the better fit if the abdomen is your only concern, or if you are fitting a session into a lunch hour.
What the Full BodyTox price includes

- Hands-on Brazilian lymphatic drainage of the arms, legs, abdomen and face, using the firmer, faster rhythmic strokes the method is known for

- Cupping of the back, with the option of a back massage
- A 20-minute infrared cocoon session, worth $25 on its own

Why Brazilian work costs more than classic lymphatic drainage
A classic 60-minute lymphatic drainage massage at Renu is $130; the TummyTox is $225 for 45 minutes. The gap reflects a different treatment rather than a premium version of the same one. Classic manual lymphatic drainage is a feather-light clinical technique for swelling, lymphedema and post-surgical recovery. Brazilian lymphatic drainage uses firmer, faster strokes plus vacuum therapy, aimed at contour and de-bloating, and it is delivered as a studio treatment with equipment and a cocoon pod. What to expect for the money
Many people feel lighter and less bloated after a session, and that is real. It is also temporary, and we would rather you book knowing that.
- Not fat loss. Cedars-Sinai states that there is no evidence lymphatic drainage massage can help you slim down, and describes any trimming effect as temporary.
- Not a detox. The U.S. National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health found no compelling research supporting detox programs for eliminating toxins or for weight management, and notes there are no studies of the long-term effects of detox programs.
- Cellulite needs upkeep. For endermologie, a device-based deep massage with suction, the American Academy of Dermatology reports mixed study results and says cellulite tends to return within a month of stopping, so you must keep having treatments to keep any result.

When another treatment is the better buy
Sometimes a different booking will serve you better and cost less:
- After surgery: if you are recovering from liposuction or a tummy tuck, book post-op lymphatic drainage, cleared by your surgeon. A 60-minute post-op session is $140 and is planned around incisions, garments and swelling.
- Swelling with a medical cause: for lymphedema, lipedema or swelling that has lasted weeks, a classic lymphatic session or complete decongestive therapy with a Certified Lymphedema Therapist is the right path, starting at $95 for 30 minutes.
- Your face is the focus: the lymphatic facials start at $80 for the 30-minute Silk Express, and the 90-minute Brazilian Lymphatic Drift ($245) pairs a full-body Brazilian sequence with the Drift & Drain facial.
Check with your doctor first
Brazilian lymphatic drainage is firmer than classic work, so the usual cautions matter. Cleveland Clinic’s reasons to skip lymphatic drainage include a blood clot or DVT, cellulitis or another infection, a fever, heart disease, kidney failure and a history of stroke; nor is the work done over cancerous tissue or radiation-damaged skin. Speak to your doctor before booking if you are pregnant, have recently had surgery, or have a swollen, painful or red leg. No. A 20-minute infrared cocoon session is included in the $315 Full BodyTox. On its own, or as an add-on to another treatment such as the TummyTox, a 20-minute cocoon session is $25.
Which is better value, the Full BodyTox or the TummyTox?
By the minute the Full BodyTox is cheaper, at $3.50 a minute against $5.00 for the TummyTox, and it includes the cocoon. The TummyTox makes sense when your concern is mainly abdominal bloating and you want a shorter, lower-cost visit.
